CedomirKolar was born in former Yugoslavia, in the city of Rijeka on the Adriatic coast of Croatia. He graduated in film production at the Belgrade Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Since 1991, he has been acting as producer for “Noé Productions” in Paris. His credits include “Before the Rain” by MilchoManchevski, “Africa my Africa” and “Kini and Adams” by IdrissaOuedraogo, “As you like me” by Carmine Amoroso, “Train of Life” by RaduMihaileanu, “The Adopted Son” and “The Chimp” by AktanAbdykalykov,“No Man’s Land” by DanisTanovic and DanisTanovic’s short film in the collection of films “11’09”01”, produced by Galatée films and StudioCanal.
Cedomir is the Academy Award nominee (“Before the Rain” by MilchoManchevski) and the Academy Award winning producer (“No Man’s Land” by DanisTanovic).
In 2003 he started the new Paris based production entity, “A.S.A.P. Films”, together with the director DanisTanovic and his fellow producer Marc Baschet. A.S.A.P. Films is an independent production company jointly created in 2003 by the producer CedomirKolar, Oscar-winning director DanisTanovic and producer Marc Baschet. The company’s philosophy is that of independent production of films by authors from different parts of the world, regardless of the language, cost or author’s notoriety. It has produced DanisTanovic’s films “L’Enfer” (a.k.a.“Hell”), “Triage” and “Cirkus Columbia”, Benjamin Filipovic’s film “The Well Tempered Corpses”, Marion Hänsel’s films “Si le Vent Soulève le Sable” (a.k.a. “Chamelle”), “Noir Océan” (a.k.a “Black Ocean”) and “La Tendresse”; AktanArymKubat’s, “The Light Thief”, Hungarian film “Womb” written and directed by BenedekFliegauf, Serbian film “Besa”, written and directed by SrdjanKaranovic.
A.S.A.P. Films is currently also developing “The Narrow Frame of Midnight” written and to be directed by TalaHadid, “Centaur”, ArymAktanKubat’s next feature film, “Le MystèreTrannoy” by young French authors and directors AvrilTembouret and Vladimir Rodionov, RiteshBatra’s “The Lunchbox”, as well as DanisTanovic’s next project, “Tigers”, Marion Hänsel's "La Tendresse" and SuhaArraf's "The Poster".
