Hans Echnaton Schano, Austria - Jury President
Poet, actor, director, author, management-trainer, media-coach, member of the LIVING THEATRE (N.Y.) since 1966, 1972 also Director of European Communications of the UNIVERSAL MOVEMENT THEATRE REPERTORY, active member of UNESCO- sponsored INTERNATIONAL THEATRE INSTITUTE, founder and director of the ONE WORLD THEATRE (1983, Amsterdam, Dallas, N.Y.), participated in theatre, film, television and radio-productions in altogether 17 countries, performing in 6 different languages (German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese). He also held lectures, workshops and seminars at a number of renowned Universities and Colleges (Sorbonne-Paris, France, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, UT-Austin, TX., UT-Dallas,TX.)
Hans Echnaton Schano draws his experience as actor, director and teacher from a multitude of different theatrical traditions. From the Anti- Modern and Post-Modern innovations in performance art, the theatre of the Off-Off Broadway, the collective creations of the Living Theatre, Grotowski, Artaud’s “Athletes of the Heart”, Meyerhold’s Bio-Mechanics and from Stanislavski all the way to the classical and modern traditions of the Far East.
Miguel Oyarzun, Spain
Miguel Oyarzun trained as an actor in Madrid, and then went to London where he studied physical theatre. He has also trained in Augusto Boal and the Theatre of the Oppressed, Michael Chekhov techniques and at the Laboratorio Internazionale di Commedia dell’Arte in Venice. He combines his acting career with directing and writing theatre. Since 2010 he is artistic director of Mirage compañía de teatro, a devise-theatre company based in Spain.
He is co-founder and co-director of BE FESTIVAL, a theatre festival taking place in Birmingham the first week of July which aims to bring new touring and commissioning opportunities to the artists– both in the UK and the rest of Europe.
Zana Hoxha Krasniqi, Kosova
Zana Hoxha Krasniqi is a theater director, and the founder and executive director of Artpolis. She directed several theater performances that were presented in Kosovo, Balkans region, Europe and North Africa. Some of her most successful theater performances presented in Kosovo and outside Kosovo include: “The Father”, “The Valley of her sufferings” and the “Kitchen of victims”. She was involved in SKENA UP Festival for 7 years as a head of theater program; she is the current Artistic Director of Professional Theater of Gjakova and works as a cultural manager for years within Artpolis Center. As an artist, she has promoted social issues that focus on awareness-raising on Gender Based Violence, Human Rights and Youth Activism. Her awards include Best Performance in SKENA UP 2004 (First edition) and she is the first Albanian laureate of “Gvozdani Kikot” award for 2012.
