Can art be learned?
The American cinematograph Robert Bob Primes from the American Film Institute (AFI) started his speech at Skena UP with a philosophic question: Can art be learned? Is cinematography art or a custom? According to Primes, art requires talent but also a lot of practice. He introduced his students at AFI, Nadia and Omar.
Nadine said: One should learn forms of communication and of putting into practice the art products in order to reach a communication with the audience.
Primes said that the aim of AFI is to teach the students the art should be expressed, so that they would not only find a job but also be able to create artistic pieces in the cinematography field.
He is convinced that in a way the learning of art is continuous repetition in the sense of further learning. In this regard he mentioned the fact that very often art is learned not only with the help of university professors, but also mentors who advise young students or filmmakers.
